Miles with a very protective dragon is definitely a terrifying thought (and OH, OH, can you imagine Mark trying to fool Temeraire, and potentially forming an uneasy alliance (and while his Captain's clone is definitely not his Captain, I bet Temeraire would decide that this means Mark belongs to him anyway, and needs looking after...)

And he would definitely get along well with Tung, yes!
