My general likes:
-Fealty/loyalty stuff, in general. I love stories where characters are fundamentally loyal to someone who returns that loyalty...in a few different ways. For example, I love stories where loyalty conflicts with honour, with doing the right thing--even though the person you're loyal to isn't false to you, going against them is still what's right. However that conflict turns out, I am all over it in a story <3 Or conversely, the sheer joy of finding someone to be loyal to who won't ask you to do something wrong.
-Fantasy AUs, both of the full-blown there are lords and ladies and mages variety, and of the 'it's canon, but canon now involves magic' variety.
-Mysteries!
-Bittersweet endings--even when the endings are more bitter than sweet. But /not/ endings where the suffering is made meaningless.
My general dislikes:
-Endings where the suffering the character(s) undergo is made meaningless :P
-Character bashing.
-Addiction narratives
-Mundane AUs
Mulan
Characters: Fa Mulan, Li Shang
I definitely ship these two, but if you just want to leave them as friends, that's fine :) I'm not really looking for anything explicit in this fandom, however, and I'm definitely not a fand of mdom/fsub dynamics. What I'd really love is post-movie fic where they have to work together to solve a problem in some way, and Mulan remains her extraordinarily clever, quick-witted and improvisational self.
Some prompt ideas:
-Mulan and Shang have to team up to take out a corrupt governor
-Mulan has interesting opinions about poetry in which Shang is very invested
-Something happens wherein Shang's ancestors/family guardians get involved (maybe half of them are for Mulan and Shang getting together, and half against? or something?)
-After Mulan's father's death, she and Shang deal with their mutual grief for their fathers (and depending on how long after the movie this is, Shang might be pretty invested in Mulan's father, too)
-/Fake courting or relationship AU/, maybe to do with court intrigue, complete with mutual pining of course <3
-Shang takes Mulan to meet his mother.
Girl Genius
Characters: Agatha, Klaus, Tarvek, Gil
What I would really love in this fandom is, like, early canon AU Klaus-and-Agatha bonding, because the way that relationship went down broke my heart; it always felt like they should have been each others' link to the past. However, if you don't feel like writing sympathetically about Klaus given his actions re: Gil lately, I do understand that, and I would be happy to receive fic about the OT3 or any two corners thereof. Gil and Klaus would also be great, Klaus and Tarvek absolutely fascinating. Basically I'm open to all comers here :) (I also love the Jaeger, and the people from Mechanicsburg in general, so if you want to include them go right ahead!)
Klaus and Agatha prompts:
-An undercover Klaus is forced to work with Agatha; he manages to work out that she is not Lucrezia.
-At some point Klaus swore an oath to someone (a Mechanicsburger? A Jaeger? Judy or Punch?) that he would see that the Heterodyne Boys got home safe (and at least mostly intact). What he didn't realize is that when it comes to the Heterodynes, oaths are more binding than you might think--and they're inheritable, so he's now bound to do the same for Agatha.
-Klaus discovers Agatha has the Spark, and (as per usual protocol) takes her to his airship to learn and study. Unexpectedly, they bond--she reminds him of someone, although he can't (or perhaps won't) quite say who. What does he do when he realizes the truth?
-An irritated Agatha somehow strikes up an actual correspondence with Baron Klaus
(and a bonus Klaus and Tarvek: Klaus and Tarvek are forced to work together on something. Would love to see Tarvek's pov on Klaus when he actually has to work with him.)
Various OT3 prompts:
-Fic about Tarvek coming to terms with what it means that Gil is actually Klaus' son, and the Wulfenbach Heir
-Relatedly: What if Tarvek had worked it out somehow (despite Klaus' intense paranoia, I know), before the disastrous archive room incident? What would he have done, knowing that Gil is miserably, knowing that this places them against each other...and knowing that if his family finds out about this, Gil will be in great danger?
-I also generally love fic where they become friends (or more) after Tarvek is kicked off Castle Wulfenbach, but before the start of canon. Go wild :)
-What does Tarvek think about the Jaeger, and their loyalty to Agatha, in contrast to the wasped Lucrezia was trying to create? Or what about the genuine loyalty of Agatha's people, in contrast with his family?
-Tarvek being actually able to relax around Agatha, in contrast to his reaction to--well, everyone else.
-Violetta and Agatha team up on a plot to take care of Tarvek
-Gil and Agatha have to pretend they don't know each other on a case
-Pre-canon, random and reoccurring Gil and Agatha bodyswap
-They have to pretend to be anti-Wulfenbach agitators; Agatha gets very into the role
-Or for the full OT3: how do they all get together?
-The political complications of designing a wedding between the Heterodyne, the Storm King, and Baron Wulfenbach
-They're all telepathically linked, since birth or starting one day pre- or during- or post-canon. (If it's sufficiently pre-canon, that'd certainly have some interesting effects on Gil losing his memory, not to mention Gil and Tarvek's pre-canon relationship...)
Temeraire
Characters: Laurence, Napoleon
I'm not going to lie, Laurence/Napoleon is my OTP here, and I would be delighted by anything that involves that :P That said, if that's not your jam, platonic interactions between these two are also great; I think pretty much anything with these two characters is going to be awesome.
Some prompts, which could be platonic or romantic, as you wish:
Prompts:
-They go the poisoning-dragon route instead of the dragon rights route, and Laurence ends up going over to Napoleon. What is Laurence thinking on the way over? What's Napoleon's reaction?
-Post-canon, Napoleon asks Laurence to keep an eye on his son for him, as Laurence is the most Honourable man he knows and will certainly not, for example, end up sacrificing the kid for political considerations. They strike up a correspondence. (And I have to say, Laurence's interactions with Napoleon's sons would also be fascinating.)
-When travelling the world, Laurence ends up in a situation where he has to pretend to be part of Napoleon's court (or if you're going to romantic route, maybe pretend to be his lover ^^); Napoleon takes full advantage.
-Somehow they end up in a situation where they are stuck alone together, and somehow Napoleon has amnesia; Lawrence is on her struggles with what the right thing to do is, under the circumstances.
N.B. That I didn't request Temeraire, so if you don't want to include him, obviously that's fine; but he is a big part of Lawrence's life, so if you do and he ends up being a big part of the fic, I'd be happy with that too :)
Queen's Thief

I'm just asking for Gen here because he is my Favourite (TM), and I think basically anything you do with him I'll love; and it certainly includes him interacting with any other character in the fandom, so if that's what you want to do, go right ahead :) I've put some prompts for Jen alone and for Jen and some other characters below, so if any of them tickle your fancy, have at! I am sure I will be very happy with whatever you end up writing, regardless :)
Prompts (Gen alone):
-Gen's returning from one of his time spying on Attolia. What's he thinking about, as he makes his way back to Eddis? What path does he take?
-A younger Gen has to deal with some of his cousins, and turns to his god for inspiration.
-What if holding on to Hamiathes' Gift left more traces that he thought? How does he found out, and how does he react once he does so?
Gen and...:
-What exactly did Gen and Dite talk about, in the garden?
-Post-KoA Gen/Irene
-Any time after the ending of Queen of Attolia, Irene/Gen bodyswap. If you wanted to do porn, I think this is one place porn would be really interesting.
-Gen exchanges correspondence with the magus
-For some reason, after Costis and Kamet have arrived at the temple, Kamet and Eugenides start to share dreams
-Costis and Gen have to go undercover as anti-Attolis agitators. Costis is /really bad at it/.
-As you may have guessed from my general likes above, I am really into the Costis-Eugenides (and for that matter Costis-Attolia) relationships. So pretty much anything you want to do there would be great :D Or, like, any of Gen's fealty relationships; I'd also love to read about Teleus or Relius like this.
