Dear Yuletide Writer,

Thank you so much for writing for me! I very much look forward to seeing what you write :)

My general likes:
-Fealty/loyalty stuff! Especially when this conflicts with honour/doing the right thing, or conversely when the character's been serving someone who wasn't doing the right thing/wasn't deserving of their loyalty and now can serve someone who does and is...
-Fantasy AUs, both in the sense of 'it's set in a fantasy world' and 'it's set in the canon world, which in this AU also has magic'
-Mysteries!
-Bittersweet endings

My general dislikes:
-Endings where the suffering the character(s) undergo is made meaningless and everything is horrible
-Character bashing
-Addiction narratives
-Mundane AUs
-I don't mind noncanon pairings in /addition/ to the canon pairings, but I don't want the canon pairings to be undone/overwritten/gotten rid of.

Mistborn Series/Wax and Wayne

Characters: Steris Harms

I love Steris so much!!! She's amazing. I love her carefully-thought-out lists of witty remarks, and her packing metal shavings in cod liver oil!!! And her booking various wedding halls well in advance, and her detailed list of possibilities that she gives to the hotel she's staying at... Steris is just the best. I think I'd be happy with pretty much any store about her, but here's some prompts to get you started:

Prompts:

-Steris has to investigate a mystery on her own, without Waxillium's help
-Conversely: Steris serves an unexpectedly crucial role in one of Wax's investigations
-Steris and Marasi actually engage in some sibling bonding <3 (I also love sisters.)
-Steris (somewhat to her surprise, given her history in the friendship department) develops an enduring friendship with one or more of the sex workers she interviewed in order to find out about sex
-Steris and Wax go on a vacation. ...how vacationy this actually turns out to be is up to you :P

Queen's Thief

Characters: Eugenides

How much do I love Gen? I very much love Gen. I'd be happy with a story about Gen alone, or a story about Gen and...basically any other character or characters in the series, as long as there's a strong Gen focus.

Prompts:
-Gen engaging in thieving-cum-political manouevering to help Eddis early in her reign
-Gen pretending to be Attolia's kitchen boy--maybe engaging with the others in the kitchen, or interacting with Kamet
-Pre-series Gen receiving divine help/interference in a way he totally fails to realize is divine help/interference at the time
-Gen wandering around the palace in Attolia during the night
-Gen/Irene bodyswap--I think this could be an interesting place to do porn, actually, if you wanted
-Gen and Costis have to go undercover as anti-Attolis agents
-After Costis and Kamet have headed off, Gen and Kamet start to meet in their dreamns

Zenda Novels/Prisoner of Zenda

Characters: Rudolf Rassendyll

I read Prisoner of Zenda this August/September and to my surprise, liked it quite a bit! There's obviously things that don't quite mesh so well with modern morality--like the idea of a "rightful king", or that Black Michael's support from the lesser-off means he's bad, but I still liked it quite a bit. (Note that I haven't read any of the other novels.) I'd like anything with Rudolf's adventures in Ruritania, either during or after the book; I would also very much enjoy anything with Rudolf (Rassendyll) and Flavia.

...let's just say that unless otherwise specified, if I mention Rudolf, I mean Rudolf Rassendyll.

Prompts:
-A day in Rudolf's life as he's pretending to be the King. What does he do? Who does he work with? What kind of political accomplishments is he working towards, however briefly?
-Rudolf and Flavia go on a picnic
-The king dies; Rudolf is forced to replace the king. This involves working out what the hell to do about his family. (Note that I can't imagine he'd go over Flavia, not to mention lie to her; maybe he confesses all to her (despite, one imagines, what Saft has to say) and they come to an agreement together? Just the discussion with Flavia would be pretty interesting, honestly.)
-The above happened several years and/or decades ago; a day in the life + something calls him to look back on the dead king and his own illegitimacy.
-Anything with outsider POV on Rudolf during his kingship

The Squire's Tales - Gerald Morris

Characters: Arthur, Guinevere, Lancelot

Fandom-specific DNWs: anything set during Lancelot's and Guinevere's affair, before Lancelot goes off to be Jean the Forestier; Lancelot and Guinevere have another affair after he comes back to court (without Arthur's knowledge and freely-given permission).

Okay, so: I loved these books as a child. In the last couple years I came back to them, and although I disagreed with them a little more (not so into enforced heterosexual monogamy or celibacy! I like pretty much all of the pairings, but) but still really liked them. That said, the last two books aren't really my favourite; you can certainly use them if you'd like! There's a lot of good material there. But if you want to ignore them (and in particular if you want to explore the idea that Lancelot actually apologized after his return to court, or that Arthur didn't sleep with Morgause/actually told Guinevere about it when they were rebuilding their marriage), you should feel entirely free. I'm basically interested in anything that's about the three of them interacting, either each with each other or two of them interacting with a third.

Note that I am very happy with the Arthur/Guinevere ship + strong Lancelot friendship, here, but if you did want to OT3 this (or maybe go with Lancelot/Arthur + Arthur/Guinevere + Guinivere & Lancelot, that'd be an interesting twist) I'd be entirely happy with that!

Prompts:
-Arthur and Lancelot's relationship after Lancelot returns to court
-Arthur and Guinevere's relationship after Lancelot returns to court
-Something post-canon that somehow works with the three of them in different states: Lancelot dead, Arthur sleeping, Guinevere in the monastery.
-Guinevere teaches Arthur and Lancelot how to do embroidery
-Arthur and Guinevere are hosted by Lancelot at Joyous Garde
-They're all out on an expedition when (Lancelot or Guinevere) + Arthur are separated from the group; (Guinevere or Lancelot) must direct the search for them
